A quick question w/poll

I was curious..... How many of you use a program like auctionsniper for all or some of your auctions that you bid on? Poll attached and comments are welcomed. I use auctionsniper.com and I was wondering how many others did the same or used other sites. Thanks, Mike

It places your bid for you with a few seconds left in the auction. To "Snipe" it. The site charges a little $$$, but I think it saves a bundle in the long-run...

Up until recently I'd not used a "snipe" program, now I use them sometimes.
Although this can mean that I sometimes snipe a fellow HI Member

I snipe 95 out of 100 times. I'll manually bid every once in a while though if I'm watching something at the time.

I used auctionsniper until my freebies ran out. Now I use Justsnipe, as it gives me five free snipes a week.

Usually, I just set my bid limit early and let it go. Works great!!

I ONLY use auctionsniper... never lost an auction I truly wanted...

I only use Auctionsniper on must have cards, so about 1/3rd of my auctions.. Be careful though my snipe once did not go thru.. I had it set to go off with 3 seconds left and it didnt go thru on a 1/1 card so ever since then I have set my snipe off with 5-7 seconds left..

Thanks for all the replies and poll participation. I am kinda surprised that almost half of the votes are from folks who never use an auctionsniper type program. I guess you guys must bid early, or are online all the time. Mike

Mike,

I'm one of the ones that doesn't - of course that is I don't anymore, I used to last year. Sniping just cost me far too much - I've taken a somewhat more relaxed view on must have its, so if I forget an auction and don't bid on it, or if my initial bid doesn't take it, then so be it. I've won less auctions, but also spent less money!

Always use auction sniper if I want to win an auction... if I lose after that, nothing more could have been done.
