About UD Black Redemptions

I've got a couple hundred dollars that have been burning a hole in my PayPal pocket for the last year or so, and I'm intrigued with the idea of UD Black, so I think I'm going to buy up as many of them as I can over this next little while.

I wanted to start a thread talking about the investment potential of UD Black and how it may or may not compare to other UD releases.

The facts:

ARV is $100/pack (does this differ depending on which product you pull the redemption out of? UD didn't comment on this.).

Odds of winning a pack is 1:57 (total packs). Other prizes are seeded 1:952 (is this 1:952 UD Black packs, or overall?).

There are a total of 20 774 packs of UD Black to be awarded. That tells me 1:122 UD Black packs will have an additional prize of some sort.

My concern is that even at $40-$45 pack, will I lose a whole lot of money on these?

What do you mean a "Winning pack''?

Every card redeems a pack that will hold 1 card or a redemption for an additional prize (Trips, Vouchers, MJ Flight Camp).

'Winning Pack' means that in addition to your normal card, you win one of the 'other prizes' along with your pack.

Are you sure that you get the addition WITH your regular card? When I emailed UD way back when these surfaced they said you will get a card OR a special prize redemption.

According to the folks at UD (it is on their website and I have confirmed with a customer service representative), "Within packs of UD Black, there will be the potential to win additional prizes."

It is funny, but the CSR repeated exactly what was on the website verbatim, so I'm not sure he knew one way or another.

I'd believe it. I usually talk to UD Rep's who know nothing about the products they ship. The guy I talked to didn't seem to bright, we will just find out soon enough.
