Actually there is a pretty easy solution.
We have a few members in his locale????
Since ebay auctions are binding.....
Is Adam over 18?
If not - has his legal guardian been made aware of his actions?
If the answer to either question is yes - then there are grounds for a claim by the sellers in small claims court. And if Adam is not over 18 - his parents (assuming he lives with them) will be responsible for the debts that he incurs.
I have always found that the best way into a father's heart is through his pocketbook.
I do not care if the father is made of money.....
if he gets hauled into smaill claims court 4 or 5 times and is forced to pay judgements - he will go berserk.

You should see the suprise and sudden caring they bring forth when the judge tells them that they will have to fork over the $$$ for the items that their children ATTEMPTED to steal even though they were caught. When they find that the company gets to keep the merchandise as well as seek FULL REMEDY on the merchandise...........
