Advice needed for replacements from Panini

Hi

I bought this back in September ... a redemption for 10-11 Dominion Dual Rookie Ensign Markstrom/ Tedenby auto shield /5

redeemed right when i got it, thought i could get it quickly since they both had live autos in the product

4 months rolled around and still no card, apparently Markstrom was the one that was not signing (so all your SPA, Ultimate stuff could wait for a while ...)

So I called to see if I could request a replacement, couple of phone calls, they told me the value of the card was 300 .... (which I paid 420 for, it was not the issue)

now the interesting part

the CSR told me that they didnt have anything "good" to replace this card with and advised me to wait it out, so they didnt even ask me what type of cards or players I liked ......


so I just wait this out or call back to try again ??

Wait, especially if you bought the card for your PC. He will eventually sign. If not, then Panini will have a better replacement inventory at the end of the season

I was told the same thing when it came to replacing a dual Crosby auto that was definitely not going to be made. I waited and eventually they were able to replace it with an equal set of cards. I would wait it out if I were you, they generally compensate long waits with something extra.

How is Markstrom not signing if UD and Panini are releasing auto cards of his from recent products(Certified/Black Diamond)?
Now, I guess it will be a hard signed card but isn't it wierd that he would sign stickers but not cards?

I would just wait it out.
Also sucks that you paid $400 and another went $420 and they have the value at $300.

And I believe the last things he signed were his dominion/ cup rookie patch auto

I forgot about Cup/Dominion and remembered when I was still thinking about this thread. It does look like he actually signs stuff and sends it back. Waiting for four month suck but I think the cards would be made sooner, rather then later(I don't think you'll be waiting for multiple years like some other members for their redemptions). Plus, asking for a replacement, like you said, they value the card at $300, you paid $420. You might be disappointed with the replacement. Also, a shield is a unique card, obviously they won't give you another shield card or another unique card, they'll probably give you type of cards you already have(auto/patch,auto jersey,dual auto, etc) I would rather wait it out and wait for the shield card.
