AI to Detroit Billups to Denver!

I think it hurts the Pistons but helps the Nuggets. I guess it will help the Pistons sell more jerseys but AI don't fit this team (or any team). Not sure if this is the beginning of the end for the current Piston team, it could mean more moves soon. AI and RIP won't be good together, this spells trouble for JoeyD and the Pistons.

I really like the trade from the Nuggets perspective. Chauncy is a hometown legend who grew up here. He will probably bring just as much hype as AI did. There doesn't seem to be much buzz about basketball in Denver this year so maybe this was the thing they needed to shake it up a bit.

P.S. I am still pissed we let Camby go for NOTHING.............

Not to fond of this trade as Iverson in the past has been known as a ball hog. I seen many games on tv from his playing days with the Sixers and Nuggets and he seems to take more shots then the rest of the team. He is not the best on defense and the Pistons are a good defensive team. The Pistons also play team ball and with Iverson usually taking more shots then the rest of the team might not fit in to the style of play the Pistons are known for. This trade has more questions then answers at this time I think as it is still early in this NBA season.

AI certainly don't fit in with the Pistons current game style. It makes me wonder if JoeD is about to make a few more trades or if they plan on changing their style. The Pistons are a great pick and roll team with Rip coming off the picks and getting the open shot, AI plays a similar role. This deal makes no sense for the Pistons.

I think the Nuggets just improved. Billups brings what they need, however AI did improve his asst stats drastically while playing there. I enjoyed watching the Pistons they were one of my favorite teams to watch, I probably won't watch them at all now as I don't really like AI.

Dumars said at the beginning of the year that he was going to change the dynamics that made up the Pistons over the past few years. He probably has a few more moves in sight.

When will GMs learn that Iverson is not good for a team unless their main goal is to sell jerseys and get after game interviews on the highlight reels.

Well, bringing in AI brings is an expiring contract at the end of the season. I think Rasheed Wallace's contract expires then, too. That's more than $25 million that'll be available to them for signing free agents for 2009-10. Despite the Pistons being one of the best teams in the Eastern conference, I think some change or shake-up was needed. And it just wasn't working with Carmelo and AI.

As it won't with AI and Rip. With Rasheed and AI together I hope the Pistons have a good lawyer on staff.

Just read where the Pistons now have money lined up in expiring contracts for a 2010 run at LeBron James and (AAAAAND!) Chris Bosh. As a Raptors fan, I hope Bosh doesn't leave, but on the other hand, if the Raps find a way to upgrade with the money losing Bosh saves, I'm all for it.

2010 Free Agents include James, Bosh, Kobe Bryant, Nowitzki, Yao Ming, Dwyane Wade...should be a fun 2010 off season.

I don't know if I want Bosh to be replaced. I wouldn't even know what would be an ideal upgrade right now. Considering the leadership that he has brought to the Raptors, and with this season looking like it could be his best, no way! :D Hopefully as the Raptors continue to improve, he'll recognize this and sign a longer contract instead of opting out.

Also, reading news that Antonio McDyess' contract may be bought out and that Colangelo may be interested in signing him as a backup to Bosh and O'Neal!

I'd personally like to see Dirk alongside Kobe and Pau gasol, that would be awesome, I saw the press conf with AI and Joe Dumars and i was laughing about his comments saying he'll make "sacrifices" LMFAO

sacrifices like what? not taking 29 shots or more a game?

AI's first game is tonight against the Raptors. I get nervous when the game's too close, so I hope AI doesn't gel with the Pistons for the first game. :D Go Raps Go!

Oh yeah the Raptors will own them, Chris bosh and Jermaine O'Neal, I've been waiting for Bosh to get some help in Toronto and O'Neal really helps them out in that area.

It may be too early to judge, but Iverson hasn't impressed in the two games with Detroit. Last night's stats were 10 points, 4 assists, and 4 turnovers?
