Like many others I'm one of those guys that enters ebay a couple of times every day to see if there's anything new to add to my collection.

Lately I've become very frustrated with all the changes that ebay makes every other day. It becomes harder and harder to find things when I don't know where to press the buttons.

Just the other day they removed "search in titles and descriptions" so EVERY time a make a new search I have to move onto advanced search and click the empty box. EVERY SEARCH!!!

Also they change the number of auctions you watch on the page..

Another thing that annoys my is that the size of the text and pictures changes from search to search. I have safari(mac) and ebay is the only site that does this change..

So I'm I the only one that's annoyed by this?

Haha you're ineed not alone!
I recently missed a huge PC-card because that ebay search engine couldn't find the card for my computer (I also uses mac...) even if the auction was a 7-days auction but my computer managed to miss the card until I checked at "completed listing" and got almost a "heart-attack"...but this isnät the forst time, maybe it's because that we're mac-users?

I hates when Ebay changes the layout for my computer alost every day and shows different items.... and that they removed "search in titles and descriptions" is also annoying for me...

Their decision to abandon wildcard searches (e.g. wild*) has made some of my search strings longer. And their insistence on searching datasets like "card type" (i.e. "rookie" "Autographed" etc) which isn't an actual text field, and is frequently inaccurate populates my searches with vast quantities of useless garbage.

I shouldn't be surprised. They've spent the last several years alienating sellers. It's about time that they moved on to buyers.

After I set up my search parameters, I just save them. Now it's literally just one click to get the most up-to-date listings I want.

I have noticed no difference with the changes to eBay.

Arrrgh!! I totally agree!!!!

On a positive note, I do like the searchability for SOLD listings, and not just completed. Unless this was a hidden feature before that I never saw...

The scrolling is slow on numerous searches--especially my Perreault--frustrating as heck...lose a lot of patience.

After trying to do a few listings --adding pictures was a pain in the arse..
now I do a search and other auction images are screwy and waiting for site to load up......

I'm on every day as well, and I have no problem with most of the new changes. There is one that drives me slightly bananas though. When you check on the bids, and then decide to put in a higher bid, a new window opens asking you to review and confirm your bid. The window isn't big enough and I can't hit the bid button. Used to be that you could reopen it in a new tab (right click), but that option no longer appears. :foottap:
