Hey everyone, I was at Goodwill today to pick something up for my sister's play and I stumbled across an album of cards for $10. I looked through the album and immediately spotted a Lemieux RC so I knew I had to get it. The album contained baseball cards from the late 60s-early 90s, basketball cards from the 70s, football cards from the 70s and hockey cards from the 70s-80s (No Gretzky RC unfortuantely). Here's some of the cards that I got:

So that was a pretty exciting find, everything is for sale. Just let me know if you are interested in anything. Thanks,

Alex

Excellent! Can't beat a Lemieux RC at Goodwill, and the Neely RC isn't too bad either ;)

Best find I ever made at a thrift shop? $566 cash wadded up in the pocket of a sweet pair of cargo pants. The other pocket had nasty paper towels in it, but hey, you win some, you lose some. I'm assuming they were once owned by some kind of illicit substance dealer, but now that money is put to good use, namely buying me more hockey cards, and less likely to fuel some poor slob's addiction. GO PANTS!

And your find is infinitely cooler, finding money is cool for anyone, how often is it cool to be a card fan shopping at goodwill and hitting the jackpot?!?! Congrats!

Thanks, I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I was looking through the showcases out of boredom and they were in a photo album. One of the pages was flipped up so I saw the bottom half of one of the cards. I ask the lady behind the counter to take it out for me and I was like a kid at a candy store. I also picked up a copy of a proclamation granting Canada its own flag dated January 28th, 1965 for $20. I thought it was actually signed by the Queen and Lester B. Pearson but it turned out to just be a copy. Here's what it looks like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mando_gal/5462430915/

I might be able to sell it to a collector but I wouldn't mind keeping it also, it's pretty neat.

Man, and here I was thinking I was ballin' for finding a copy of a rare SNES game for $2 at a Goodwill one time.

Sweet pickup there

P.S. A buck if you can videotape you burning the Lafontaine RC and send Jacktheripper the video with my compliments

Haha, it's already found a new home unfortunately. ;)
