I have a nearly full 3k count box of all base. I don't want it but I feel like throwing it away is wasteful. What do you guys do with your base?

Not American, but I use them with for shipping. I will use them to fill a box if I am shipping a bulk lot or I will put them in the team bag as protection.

Have any friends or family members with young kids? Give it to them, and start the next generation of collectors!

This is what I have done in the past with unwanted base and other low end cards. Its cool to see them start going thru each card, looking at the pictures, stats, organizing them, etc.

They sit around. Hopefully, one day, some younger member of the extended family will take an interest in hockey and he can inherit the bonanza.

I almost went to the end of just dumping them off to a dealer, but I hadn't actually done it. Somehow I had found someone who wanted to trade baseball cards for hockey, so I was able to get rid of most of my base that way. Unfortunately, he changed his mind after getting 3/4 of it.

No take backs!

This.

I divide them up amongst family members kids, friends kids and coworkers kids. They all love it.

Basically find anyone with kids and give them free cards.

WISH I had that problem, Ryan!
Gave some away, sold / traded (inserts) but still, no END to it.
Always looking for what U need.

Over the years I have been able to rid of most base cards and the inserts, a different story. I still have about 15 OR so boxes of inserts AND a wall full of base sets.

Get some team bags, put 10 base cards in each and give them away on halloween. Offer them to friends to give away in their neighborhoods too as you probably have more than you can give away yourself.

Kids love them

I take mine to the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Dallas and let the hospital pass them out to the sick children

I like the idea of giving out team bags during Halloween, think I might have to do that this year.
