An amazing McDonalds Patch set on Ebay

Just browsing Ebay and came across this set 02-03 McDonalds Patches.

All I can say is WOW!! I'm not gonna jump all over this person, but does anyone else here think that the odds of EVERY card in the set being #'d to the players jersey a bit too amazing? It is possible I guess, but highly unlikely that all of them would surface (at least I think). Do you think this was one of those "Pacific buyout" lots?

This seller has been selling all types of McDonalds cards for a while. He has many other McDonalds sets up for sale too. I would LOVE any of those sets. What an impressive collection of McDonalds cards!!


EDIT - Now after looking at his other sets, I know something weird is up. A few of sets are all serial #'d the same # throughout the set. Obviousely all cards were not made public in the first place.

It's amazing because

a) it's a complete set with some low-numbered patches
b) numbered to jersey numbers
c) it's McDonald's, so the relatively short redemption windows

The seller is dynacard, he has always bought a TON of McD's stuff. I sold him probably $300 worth of mid-low end McD's in 05/06, and that year, he was buying everything that came on the bay. I'm more surprised to see that he is selling McD's stuff than to see him with that lot of cards.

There's no denying that he has an amzing collection of McDonalds cards. Like I said above, he's been selling them off and on for a while now. He usually asks a high price, but, he also usually finds someone willing to pay it. I don't think it's a coincedese (sp) that the cards I questioned are all Pacific, and not Upper Deck. This leads me to believe it was in fact a "package deal" purchase when Pacific closed the doors. You see a few guys on Ebay with lots of Pacifics' old replacement stock....however, most of it is un-numbered, unlike these ones.

As an aside, how is it that McDonald's makes the nicest looking cards every year yet UD recycles the same garbage through and through

This comment isn't fair. Pretty much all of the 08-09 UD releases to date have featured brand new designs that are markedly different from their counterparts from 07-08.

Not to mention that UD has made about half or more of the entire Mcdonalds sets in existence.

Anyone want to buy it, I'll take the Comrie :)
