A rainy Saturday afternoon found me and Calgarybluenote in the friendly confines of Maple Leaf Sports with the friendly and enthusiastic Jenn (seems Darren decided he'd enjoy the rain and cold so much better in the wilderness in a camper :| ).

I have long ago learned to "never say never", as I finally broke down and bought the most expensive product I've ever busted... my local pusher will be very very very happy to hear I've broken another barrier... :D

What capped off this Ultimate break???
Beers and bar food at Stavros watching Portugal beat Turkey at Euro 2008 with Steve... cards and beers... what a great combination!

Thanks for the look and LMK if you're interested in anything...

Michael...amazing break
now you'll forget all about the lower end stuff and only break the expensive stuff

Michael, amazing break for the first crack at Ultimate! Congrats on that Lemieux and the Kane /99!!

Michael,

I can totally relate to your uneasiness busting high end. I pin my hopes on one big break per year -- traditionally ITG Ultimate, but Superlative this year. When you're all in like that, the potential for thrill or for agony runs pretty high. So, I was so glad to see you get some cream, instead of getting creamed. It's great when the hobby gods smile on an avid collector and all-around nice guy like you! Throw in a game, some suds, a little grease, a good bud...yeah, that's pretty much the Ultimate Saturday afternoon.

Cheers!

Chad

Thanks to all of you for the comments!

Chad, I think my high-end pales in comparison to your high-end (Superlative and ITG Ultimate), but thanks for the sage comments. Maybe one day I'll swallow real hard and even join that league...

Michael ... Congrats on the "high" end break.

Very nice Mario, Iggy and well I have to say the best is the Kane :D

I've got to agree with you, Darren will be soooooo happy now that you have passed that next hurdle onto spending more $$$ ;)

...hey you done with that horse shoe:whatthehell: you did vary well for your first time.... come to think of it my first time ripen high end was good as well... maybe thats how the hockey hobby gods keep getting us to take that next step, give us the goods the first time around to get us "jonesing" and then never let it get as good as the first time around, lol.

congrats on the great pulls!
