I know this is only $.63, but still a pet peeve of mine.

I win an auction back on May 21. With shipping, it cost me $19.49 CAD. I'm in U.S., so with conversion, I paid $18.30 USD on PayPal (they took that amount out of my account).

A month and a half passes, and no card arrives. Bummed...I wanted the card. So I file a Customer Support Case with eBay. And today, after 63 days, I win the case and eBay pays me back. Well, almost pays me back. Because the Canadian dollar has dropped since May, so has my refund. They paid me back $19.49 CAD, but it now only converts to $17.67 USD for my real refund. So after 2 months, I lose $.63 on the deal. Nice! :foottap:

Why can't they just pay me back the $18.30 US I originally paid in May? If the Canadian dollar was worth more, I guess I'd get more money back, but it's the principle of the thing. Just pay me what I paid...and who cares what the exchange rate is! I'd be happy with that.

A nit in the scheme of life, but.....

End of rant. :D
