Anybody every restart a player collection?

Some of you may know I use to collect Tomas Vokoun years ago. Between the ton of Upper Deck one of ones and the need of cash I decided to sell the hole collection. I'm finding my self picking up his cards again here and there. I was just going to do his autographed cards but now thinking of collecting everything but the one of ones. I had 18 one of ones in my last collection and they all went to Russia to the same guy. Vokoun is still my favorite goalie. I had a bunch of fun with the collection the first time around.

Anybody else restart from scratch?

Never restarted , but i have a nice Vokoun Limited Logos in my bucket if interested. I have though restarted projects , Endorsed Emblems , Limited Logos etc , etc ,
 
I collected Hextall in the 90's and stupid as I was, sold them away ummmm 5 years back. Started from scratch a year ago when I got rid of my Cheevers collection.

Actually it was fun starting over. It was like old friends.... :D

I have started couple of collections again after selling them off earlier. But then again, the players are John MacLean, and Brad Isbister. :) The Isbister collection irks me a bit, because there were two cards that are going to be a pain to find again.

I say do it....you had one heck of a Vokoun collection and being that he used to play here and was one of my favorites I loved the collection you had. Do it brother!
 
Haven't done it, but I will give you the pat on the back to go for it. Perhaps you could re-vamp your focus and just do autos only and skip all the other stuff. A more reasonable wishlist that way.
 
I'll take the other side - "been there and done it".

At one time I had every Iginla card from 1994 to 1999 - inserts, parallels, auto's, etc. Traded them all in one fell swoop in 2001 - my son was born. I still pick up unique Iggy pieces, but basically I've been there and done that!

I sold off my Pyatt collection after building it for a couple years. I restarted about 2 years after I sold it off and thankfully I have picked up everything that I sold off at one point, but since it is Pyatt that wasn't too hard to do. A player like Vokoun would be tough but probably a ton of fun. You could always pick a certain year and collect from that point on if you don't wait to go all the way back to the beginning.

With the recent news that my favorite basketball player is making a come back, I feel I should start my Michael Dickerson collection once again, he doesnt have that many cards and I have all of his game used cards. I can pick up some of the best cards of the collection for pennies on the dollar. Sounds exciting
