I can imagine that this year's version of The Cup is going to bring astronomical prices. Is anybody skipping this year or are you all in?

I have not bought any hockey wax for a few months now.But I am seriously considering a six pack case of this years cup.Just to put away for a while(maybe until Christmas). Should be a much sought after product.Time will tell.

I'm not buying any because I straight up can't afford to gamble half a grand on a box but I can't wait to see how much CM stuff sells for. I imagine the ARP is going to go for CRAZY amounts.

I have mixed feelings. It looks like it's going to release well into the 2016-17 season so that could be good or bad. If McDavid and other rookies have a good start to the season it'll be great. If Connor gets another injury, this could be a disaster

I was in for four cases last year but I'm skipping entirely this year. The odds are too much in the house's favour and that's not a game I want to play. Everyone knows the McDavid will be the one to pull and I have a feeling that the product will be loaded with those junk "Brilliance" autos and cards that won't sell well at all.

For those that will jump on me for dare bringing up how cards sell, keep in mind that these cards are coming out of a $400+ a pack product. If you're buying this to open, you should care how the secondary market on these cards perform.

I'll play. For what McDavid Cup RC's are likely to fetch, I'm willing to roll the dice.

Half a grand?

Try $750-$900 a tin on opening day :)

You heard it here first

There's going to be a LOT of disappointed people if that's the case. You'll cover your tin and maybe make some profit on a Larkin or a Panarin RPA if you hit them out of a single tin. Imagine hitting a Jordan Weal lol

Can online retailers jack up the prices like that? I mean, does Upper Deck raise the price of a case of The Cup just because the demand is greater than usual?

yes. yes they do. last year they jacked it and this year they are not going to leave any money on the table. meaning they are going to up the price and load it with crap since they know people will go after MD.
i might trim down and only get one case this year. but when i go to rip it i may be to afraid of the let down that is sure to come.

I wonder how many different McD cards will be in the Cup? If they jam some bonus Exquisite cards in packs there should quite the assortment. I will probably do few team random group breaks and pray for the Oil.
