Anyone else find this highly addicting?

So I know I'm going to my local card shop today. Guy actually calls me weekly as he finds random stuff for me ( see Want List ) and is helping me sell my stuff I got as well. Great guy.

Then I find myself on these forums a few times a day exchanging PM's and BS'n back and forth with the collectors, asking about a few products etc.

I can't help but think that hey, why not go for another box of this years SPA while were there. I know I'll do it too, honestly. Hard part is trying to move the stuff for any sort of cash in return or trying to trade it to certain people.


I just can't help but keep fishing for something super hot. Best thing I've pulled is a SOTT Toews auto from this years stuff and a #'d to 75 Kovalchuk both of which are en route to being traded or traded. Maybe a Bobby Hull AUTO from this years OPC Premier.

Still searching for a Crosby or Gretzky

Anyways, it all comes down to supporting your local hobby establishment.. You buy from them, they buy/trade from you.. It's the circle of the hobby..

As for spending time on-line BS'ing... I'm all for that as long as it's on H.I....

But I'm very bias towards this site..

It's all about enjoying the hobby, regardless of how you spend your money. I know lots who buy strictly singles, thrive for getting only the best of deals, etc. and they find themselves hating the grind of the hobby. Likewise there are those that open tons of products and get frustrated with the lack of residual secondary market value. Do whatever makes you enjoy the hobby. For many that is a balance of collecting what you like and busting the occassional product and BSing over at the local hobby shop.

Grand Slam Sports on 17 & Ryan.

When I'm not shopping there I usually go to Dave & Adams to pick up a few things I can't find there, and of course EBay to get cheap single cards

Thats a bit far away for me, that'd be about a 45 minute drive at least
