the label creation feature on the USPS website? i try and use it as much as possible... and tonight i went to print out a label for a deal on here and all the site would allow me to create was Priority Mail stuff. i have created several first class mail labels recently, and i tried to create one thru paypal - didn't have the option to create one outright from the transaction, and paypal only allowed me to create priority also.

so i guess my question is... what the hell is going on? is priority the only option now? usps obviously wants ppl to use the click n ship versus doing stuff in a post office, as evidenced by the discounts... but forcing me to use priority mail isn't going to make me want to continue to use their website. i plan on calling them tomorrow and seeing what their explanation is.

i just used it....
usa to canada
no issue with first class

make sure u dont have an error somewhere with the address

I used it about a week ago. I always go into calculate a price and go from there. It comes up priority but usually there is a small link around it that says first class options. When I go to pay for it they have a Paypal option.

well, after snooping around the site a bit, and trying what wingnut said... apparently priority is the cheapest domestic option that exists online, thru the USPS site. when I did a price check, a-la wingnut, first class was not an "online option" available for a 2 oz package.

so I fired off an email to USPS, wondering why they are cutting services when they lose sooooo much money on an annual basis. wondering what kind of response I will get...

Not to derail this thread, but USPS is pretty profitable. The only reason why they post loss after loss is that the government forces USPS to fund pensions for all current and future employees 75 years in advance.
