anyone on here win this auction?

If that's your guy that you collect, then I don't think that's an overpayment for a Black 1of1.
No doubt eh Gary?

That is a 1/1 that is NOT a plate from the highest end product in hockey. Sure it is Ben B, but if you are a die hard collector of him, you gota think $191 is a price that you would pay if you HAVE to have that card...

Just keep and eye on the sellers feedback.. and check once in a while to see if the buyer has left feedback.. or if the seller left feedback for the buyer early.. and find out that way who won it. just a thought

I don't think that is that bad of a price if it is going stiaght to your pc. Which also means your proably won't see it for trade antime soon. Hopefully it is not some idiot thnking that he got a deal on it and is going to try to resale it at $1500 with free shipping

Not trying to call you out here man, but you should consider this one a lesson learned. Certain cards like the Cup Black parallels you need to "Go Big or Go Home!!!" Many collectors are completionists and will pay up big time for a non-plate #1/1. Their one shot, right? For me, I throw in a bid that I am comfortable with and if I lose, no worries. Obviously, I am not a completionist. If you are, next time set a MONSTER snipe and be ready to overpay. Mike

+1

regardless of the player, certain cards: Cup Black parallels, Shields, Property Ofs..., and most 1/1's in general, will fetch a certain amount of coin regardless of who the player is. if it were me, i'd have been thankful the player was only Bishop.

That's the premier card to have for you PC, sorry you didn't get it. Cheap too in my opinion, I wanted it but never bid at all.

Here's the way I look at it. If I'm a hard core Bishop collector, and I were to buy ONE tin of the Cup for $500 or so, I think I'd be quite pleased to pull this 1/1 out of the tin and consider myself pretty darn lucky to get a 1/1 of my guy in my tin, no matter what other cards were in there. So spending $191 on a 1/1 Cup single on eBay doesn't seem like that high a price to pay...

i really thought that my bid was going to be enough... especially considering that BB is pretty much resigned to playing in the minors this year, and considered by many to be a perennial back-up. so yeah, lesson learned.

He's not that hidden. As a goalie collector I am always looking for that next big thing. Nothing better than a young goalie, talent, and the size of a skyscraper. Bishop has all that and there are a lot of fans waiting for him to make it big to the show for good.

And I guess with what happened to Mason last year as well. Mason was behind Leclaire and Norrena and with some injuries/players getting cut he got his chance. Also add Varlarmov as well. He got his chance after the starter struggled and the backup was injured. You never know when Bishop will get his chance and it could be this season and he may become the next Mason/Varlarmov story.

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but that card showed up on another message board as part of someone's collection with the entire run of Bishop Cup RCs, so it looks like it might be locked down.
