I'm waiting on the Spider-Man Noir hc from a spontaneous BIN on eBay and was about to pull the trigger on the X-Men, then paused after realizing I know little about them. Are they any good? Do you have to be a fan of the non-Noir titles to like them? For example, I have zero interest in Daredevil but if the Noir title for him is good I'll pick it up.

Anyone read them and have any opinions?

The only comparison I have that is lose is Marvel 1602. While I was kind of bored reading it it was interesting figuring out who the characters were in the alternative time.

Ummmm.... what?

You just missed 10+ years of fantastic stories. Easily the best run 1 through 100 I've ever (and I mean, EVER) read.

Kevin Smith was fantastic.... David Mack was okay... Brian Michael Bendis was unbelievable and lastly Ed Brubaker was unreal. Do yourself a favour and get them. GET THEM! :|

Sorry for not answering your Noir question lol but, like you, I don't know much about it either. I'm just responding to some DD hate-on I just witnessed (shame on you!)

That's ok, I'm an equal opportunity hater--I don't have any interest in Punisher or Luke Cage either, as far as the Noir titles go. :)

I read the the Daredevil, Punisher, and Wolverine ones. While they were all interesting stories, I think it is safe to say you could live without them.
