Well the reason for the goofy awkward title is because the desktop upstairs is busted, and I can't scan anything while I type on the laptop downstairs
I've got to say it's been a pretty awkward work week. It's one of those weeks that you wonder why you work so hard only to see other people mess things up. I left a meeting based on a lot of work I've been doing for a month and a half going "What the f was this guy (the product manager) thinking? It meets like none of our requirements!!!"
Then I got pulled into a conference room before I left and told that they were trying to free up budget to promote me to a supervisor/consulting role, which was pretty out of left field. Hot damn! For the first time in a while, I left work on a super high.
The high continued when I opened my mailbox and saw something waiting for me from my Crownie Addicted pal Barrie. Now, B had asked for my address a couple weeks back, and I figured he had a Cammi or two waiting around for a new owner, which was cool because, well...I'm more than accommodating to providing more Cammi a home
What was inside the envelope was nothing short of amazing. The card was special enough, but the note included with it was a true act of class and friendship.
The note read "Here's the reason you started following the LA Kings. Cheers! -Barrie" and enclosed with it was an 06-07 Cup Dave Taylor 3clr Signature Patch card.
There are some classy guys here, and I've been privy to some classy acts in the 9 months I've been a member of hockey card message boards. Guys like Barrie and my good pal Chris Carmichael continue to amaze me with their stunning acts of generosity and friendship. They're some good folk
Thanks Barrie~ Sorry again that I can't share a scan. I might be able to sneak some scanner time in at work tomorrow
