I recently purchased a bunch of 2000-01 packs for dirt cheap. Figured why not. Opened some 2000-01 Vintage, and a few packs in:

Still really cool to pull the redemption which is obviously extremely rare. Cool to hold onto. If anyone knows where I can find an autographed version to put with this, I'd appreciate it.

Time to go............

You can turn in the redemption for the UD raffle. It is based on value, which would likely land you in the $500+ level.

My feelings are hurt for you, man. I bet all you could do was laugh.

Dude I laughed hard. As soon as I opened the pack, I could see that there was a 500 goal card inserted before I took the cards out of the pack. The other memorabilia sets in this set are real thick, and I own several 500 goal club cards as it's one of my favorite sets, so instantly I knew I had a big pull. I slowly moved the card in front of it and was like OMG LOL. I am still happy I pulled it, as it's really cool. I'm just pissed the card wasn't live at pack out. Unfortunately back in the day, many of the rare auto memorabilia cards were redemptions so no big surprise.

very cool to have,i have the non-auto'd version in the pc.a local shop had the auto'd version in a flourescent lit display for YEARS and would not budge on the above Becket value price.needless to say last time i saw the card the auto was basically just an indentation on the card,no ink left whatsoever.:duh:

Redemption raffle is not a possibility for the pre-scratch off redemptions. Listing it as is on eBay may do well. I sold a Gretzky "autograph redemption" from 1999-00 Ovation for $106USD via auction for the redemption card alone.

Congrats on the pull! I know it sucks that the redemption has expired. I wonder if UD might still be willing to work with you on some compensation.

That's bad luck for sure, but some hardcore collectors may make you an offer for that redemption, seeing as how it was the card that would come back auto'd. Bruce sold his Gretzky for over $100, so there could be a small market there. Best of luck!

Completists go nuts for these cards. I spent 20 years looking for a redemption card for a 1997 Pinnacle Certified Jose Cruz BASE CARD. I was willing to pay $60 for the card and LUCKILY I got it for 99 cents. I sent the seller an extra $10 for making my 20 year search come to an end.

Wow, that's really cool. I thought those came on a random white redemption card like other redemptions from UD do. If you are looking to move it please send me a PM with a price in mind - unfortunately I have no idea what I'd even be looking to pay for something like that.

Here's a quick thought/suggestions: Maybe send this to someone heading to the Toronto Expo and they can throw it into the "expired redemption" draws (might be able to get something out of it). Hell, even if you send it to a good talker that can up-sell the potential of that particular card, it might turn into something legit there (either a choice of "Priority Signings" or some specific contact information for when they get back to HQ in California).
