Hey,

Just wondering if any of the artists who attend comic cons do sketches at the show?

The reason I'm asking is because I'd love to start going to some with my son and I think it would be awesome to try and get some sketches him by artists who can include hI'm with characters they know. It would be something that I'd do for years to come.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

Cheers,
Kory

Many do. Check the con website for the guest list, and then check the guests' web presence for details. Prices vary. Top guys like Granov, Ribic , Del Mundo or Ramos ask around $5-700. Next tier guys like Mckone or Layton around $200ish. Lots of unpublished artists will be set up, and they often do good work for not a lot of money.

Check my tumblr link - search #commissioned artwork - for examples.

We went to the Comic Con in Minneapolis this year and there were several artiats there doing sketches. I didn't pay to much attention to the costs but I did see that there was an animator from the Simpsons there charging 80.00 to sketch you as a Simpsons character. That was pretty cool.

Fan Expo this week - I hope to be adding at least a couple new commissions to be shown on my tumblr.
