I pulled mine, auto'd, out of a 17-18 box. Perhaps some got into the 16-17 release unsigned. Then, once they got autos back they put those into 17-18?

John Gibson is the same, I think, in that some are auto'd and some aren't. Don't know what's behind it in that instance either though.

The originals in SP Authentic were not signed. The signed versions were released in other products as an update for several players.
