Ask Panini (non-redemption related questions)

Al and I think it will be great, we just haven't looked in to the specifics of it yet. I know they used to do it in football.

That's fantastic stuff. It would certainly go a long way to give us all an idea where the stuff comes from and whether it may hold a special significance (i.e. "OMG I was totally at a game where he wore that and had 35 goals and a fight that night!")

I've yet to see one, but being /5 that is expected... Is the Playoff Contenders NHL Ink quad of the Blackhawks (Hossa/Toews/Kane/Turco) live or a redemption?

In theory it sounds great, but the execution is what I question. Especially when multiple jerseys have been cut and bagged for assembly. All it takes is one mix up on one card for everyone to start whining and complaining why there's a light blue Winter Classic Crosby swatch on a card that says the jersey is from a home Black sweater.

There would need to be a lot more controls in place to make it happen I would imagine. And a lot more attention to the QC process.

These would both be very good things, and all the more reason to make it happen.

The system already has very tight control once the pieces are picked for the specific card, it would be up to who ever reserves the pieces for the set to not mix jerseys when building the program.

It was live in packs.

I have 7 Freshman Fabrics Signatures (various base and mirror red versions) and requested replacements for all of them. Most are from Nov./Dec. 2010. I received a note on July 23 saying "We apologize for the delay. As we have recently gone through changes in the Customer Service Department. Due to the volume of redemptions and replacements we receive, currently we ask that you please allow an additional 2-3 weeks as we are making every effort to retain your confidence in us and our product. We value you as a customer. Have a nice day!!!"

I understand that things get busy, which is why the additional 2-3 weeks on top of the original 2 weeks was understandable. I think I'm being fairly reasonable, but it has now been 4 weeks since they said they were shipping out, and I haven't received any update or package in the mail.

I was just wondering if you know if they ran out of suitable replacements, or if they are still that backed up?

Me thinks I have a #1/1 error card. This is the Jersey/Stick Black #1/1, but it indicates Jersey Number. What do you think?

Sorry everyone, due to reasons I don't want to get into here, I won't be able to answers your questions in this forum any longer. If you need help, you can try asking through our blog at Panini.com or by contacting customer service. Thanks, Clint.

Thanks for all the help Clint,

But I think this is the final nail in the Panini Coffin for me. They are next to impossible to get any answers from and now they close the only avenue we have to contact them with the expectation of an acurate friendly answer to our questions. With the exception of my oustanding redemptions, that I may never see anyway, I'll be sticking to ITG and a few UD products from now on.

My best,

Ken

Thanks. Now for the long CS wait. ;)

Well, if you call CS, it dosen't take them very long to pick up the phone. I have called twice over the past few months, and I have reached someone almost immediately. Their CS has been doing really well over the past few months or so, and they are very helpful. Give them a call, they will probably help you in some way for it.

Terrible news. This was a great avenue to clarify or obtain information about Panini products. Trying to find checklist information, print runs, and specifics about card sets is next to impossible on the horrendous Panini website. Far too little is published, in the first place. Clint, since you can no longer answer questions here for whatever reason, I would hope that you and the people on the Panini blog will be extra diligent to ensure that print runs, variation information, checklists, and other related items are very thoroughly discussed and detailed.

I recognize this is not your own choice, and thank you sincerely for the information you have provided in the past few months.

Wow. I had clicked on here a few times but tonight had time to read through the entire thread. As I was reading, all I was thinking was how smart Panini was to follow the example set by Dr. Price and openly answer questions on here and post information. I was also thinking how Panini was smart to follow ITG's example of customer service (giving real life answers to questions on here is great customer service), while learning from other companies mistakes of very poor customer service. Then in one post we went from ITGlike to another company like. Disappointing. It was a great idea by Clint. I don't doubt with Clint and Al involved that they'll find ways to connect with us. I wonder if Karvin got UD's lawyers involved and they "suggested" not to talk too much LOL. Just kidding obviously Karvin.........you always represented UD well and made them a lot of customers at the expos by being a good likeable people person at the expos.
So where do I ask about print runs for SSPs in Zenith and where do I make other suggestions? Cmon Panini, let Clint keep this thread going.

And now I'm 4 phone messages and 5 emails deep with CS and am being ignored. This is definitely affecting my decision between The Cup and Dominion (unfortunately).

Hope whatever is going on at Panini is remedied soon so I can go on enjoying their products.
