The OEL question made me wonder this, how often do you find that a player keeps one of their own cards? Does it surprise how often it does or doesn't happen?

I like that you've done up the Ask Panini thread, I'm concerned though that you're going to burn yourself out or tire of it but so far so good!

I've got to say, this is an awesome thing your doing here.

My question is this:
I'm currently putting together the certified set, there isn't a real sign of the /499 rc redemptions on the horizon. How will this be corrected for the 2011-12 version of the set?

We normally send the guys a couple of extra samples for themselves.

For Certified this year, we won't have any TBDs. We'll get guys in who skate and be vigilant in getting every guy that we can in there up until the last second but we won't have any "mystery" cards in packs.

Just wanted to give my "Thumbs Up" to Clint, great idea. I almost want to be your bouncer for some of the aggressive questions on the redemptions thread, because I wouldn't take half the stuff that was said, but at the same time, from a collector's standpoint, I understand their opinions.

The question about the Certified redemption cards has been answered - they had issues acquiring jerseys for a couple of the players, then had to build the card from scratch and get signatures. Hence, delay.

What are the odds that we see some skate cards this year? So far we've seen sticks, pucks, we've seen tape is on the way.

Also what about helmet's and glove's?

The Golden Ticket was a nice idea...but I'd LOVE to see the return of Precious Metals. Heck, I'd love to see a whole SET done in that manner - but those remain some of the best inserts ever. That's what I originally thought too, since the second-tier guys had their "easiest" DTT parallel (#/199) in silver foil. It looks like both versions of the first-tier ended up gold, though (see here and here). Here's one of the ones out of ten. I was just wondering if I was missing something along the way.

Next question -- any plans for Voices of the Game dual auto cards? That way, you could get both members of a broadcast team on the same card -- say, Jim Hughson and Craig Simpson, Mike Emrick and Ed Olczyk, Dave Mishkin and Phil Esposito.
