I've been on a journey this year to collect every Rangers Young Gun ever made. I've made some trades, bought some, opened some, and have some on COMC.

I'm nearly there with 55 of the 61 made, but I'm still hunting the following (while trying to limit how much I pay):

- Jason Labarbera (2000-01)
- Peter Smrek (2001-02)
- Dan Blackburn (2001-02)
- J.T. Miller (2013-14)
- Anthony Duclair (2014-15)
- Kevin Hayes (2014-15)

Here are my personal Top 5 Favorite and 3 Least Favorite of the bunch:

#55: Darren Raddysh (2020-21)

Like the Hockey Card version of the movie The Room, it's almost so bad it's good

#54: Alexandar Georgiev (2017-18)

Talk about minimal effort...a photoshoot where we can't even get the jersey number in the shot? Bonus points, in a bad way, for being in SPA as an update.

#53: Alexis Lafreniere (2020-21)

I hate how much I dislike this card. Seriously everything about it is so ugly. The lack of a number, the blank blue helmet, the blurry background. If it wasn't Lafreniere it may actually beat out the prior two for worst of all time.

#5: Adam Fox (2019-20)

#4: Ryan Callahan (2007-08)

Out of all the YGs ever, I think 2007-08 may be my favorite set, so I had to go with my favorite Ranger from that year.

#3: K'Andre Miller (2020-21)

It's always cool to have a card with a story, and that's exactly what you get with Miller and the empty arena in the background.

#2: Carl Hagelin (2011-12)

I loved Hagelin during his years in New York, but this one stands out to me as we get to see a Winter Classic jersey make its way onto a YG.

#1: Henrik Lundqvist (2005-06)

Not only my favorite Ranger of all-time, just ahead of Brian Leetch, King Henrik's card is beautiful. The colors work perfectly together and we get a perfect view of his stance in goal.

don't forget to check sportlots.com some times you can find older cards on their for a good deal, or I've also had luck with centre ice collectibles

Yea it's very weird I am still confused by that. Are you going for any player to ever PLAY for the Flyers???

I’m also doing the same project with the Flyers, Kevin Hayes’ Young Guns are hard to come by!

Yea I noticed this too...very strange. Are you trying to get every player who ever played for the Flyers??? That would be nuts

At the suggestion of a friend I did do this. Was able to get some of the older guys on there for cheap. Some of these are on there too but still aren't as cheap as I would have guessed (Blackburn in particular is more expensive than I was expecting).

14-15 Series 2 was not mass produced so any YG from that series is a little tougher to come by. I’m doing all the Young Guns/Future Watch/Cup RC for every player post-lockout. It’s taking a while but also a great challenge.

Looks like this project if coming along really well.
