I was engrossed in articles and conversations between friends about analysing people based on their penned signature. There are tonnes of theories but I decided to put a spin on it. I wanted to analyse the signature from a visual perspective and my first guinea pig is Marc-Andre Fleury.

Visually his signature resembles a hockey net, albeit I am just basing it off of what I think of when I first look at the Autograph. No theoretical points of views, just what I see.

**NOTE: STole this image of the interwebs. I do not own this.

Another great one is Eric Decker of the Broncos. If you have ever seen it, it is rather "phallic" in nature LOL.. I will let you guys find the images and see for yourself. I didnt have time to look up a picture.

This could be an interesting topic. I haven't gone as far as to analyze a person through his signature but I've often wondered why some players sign the way they do, why certain letters get emphasis over others and why many don't seem to resemble their name at all. Looking forward to some good discussion on this.

Yes me too. We get the usual bad signer post but I thot this would put an interesting spin on the topic. I hope people do contribute. Here is that Eric Decker auto I was speaking of. As I said, it is very much a reminder of something NTSFW LOL

when I see fleury's auto I think of the toronto city hall, if you could imagine walking abit more to the left. the "eury" part of his auto is like the skating rink.

that's just me though.

If this is anything like the Rorschach tests all are see are ******s. :o

I'll shut up now before I derail the thread.....;)

Next up for another visual interpretation of an athlete's signature.

Drew Storen and Eric Thames

Another addition to the graphology thread. When I see Sid the Kid's auto, the "S" at the beginning reminds me of the number "8" which is Ovechkin's number. These days he appears to be 2nd best to the Croz and always following him around LOL..

NOTE: Randy, yes I have a bit of time last night to sort through cards and come up with crazy ideas.. anyways enjoy!

i just took a long hard look at a Lindros autograph, and i wonder why/what letter he is crossing and why/what letter drops down in his autograph?

ive only really looked at the one auto and may not be indicative of every one

New addition. Slow and Steady and consistent was the definition of Mariano Rivera. Notice how he takes the time to dot the "i". He never missed the strike zone much did he!

HAHAHAHAAHA. the face he is making just makes that auto looks so much worse.. "Don't act like your not impressed"

Latest update on the interpretation of autographs. This may be a stretch but hell I will run with it. Most of you are going to think I am smoking something, but I find it fun to do. Anyways enjoy!

Can you see the correlation between the image and the signature?

Crosby signs his name with three "87's". If you look closely, you will see it. One is upside down...

I totally believe in this sort of thing. With signatures it's tough to tell but when a person writes a paragraph, especially alone, it's an excellent tool for analyzing personality and/or mood.
