Awesome Auto Find I picked up a while back

I found this a while back and finally had a chance to get a nice pic of it.

I was at the Dave & Adams MegaStore a month or so back, and they had a display of autographed items from past guests from their Nickel City Con, both for sale and to plug the upcoming Convention in May.

Last year one of the guests was Sam Jones, of FLASH GORDON fame. (FLASH! AAAAAAAAA-AAAAAAAAAAAAHH!) Among the different prints and photos they had for sale (all the the same price) I saw this lone copy of this awesome sketch print.

I thought it weird that it had a second autograph on it, one that didn't seem to be his co-star, Melody Anderson. But I just wanted it, and it was the same price as the other prints with just Sam Jones auto, so I grabbed it up.

I figured it might just be the artist's signature......



I was right.

Alex Ross. The artist from Marvels and Kingdom Come, along with a ton of other stuff, including a poster for the Academy Awards.

Thanks! No one in the shop had any idea who the other signer was. I looked all over the net, and I guess Alex Ross set up at the 2016 (?) SDCC with Sam Jones in his booth, and sold a different s/n print, and this as an unlimited edition.

I'm thinking that when Sam Jones came to Nickel City Con last year, he brought some of these along for sale, and D&A bought some different prints and photos from him to sell in store after the Con.
