so i've been on hiatus from the hobby in general since around June.hadn't opened a single pack,made a trade or purchase etc.the McDavid hype along with the UD exclusive and it's watering down of product flipped an internal switch for the first time in my long collecting career.but when i saw that Dr.Price was re-inventing his company and releasing some President's Choice sets i was invigorated.so i went to the shop yesterday and picked up a box of ITG Vault and a UD Series 1.
start off with the Vault:
not a bad box with the Roy mask and the Tavares auto.actually like the Odjick and Francis just as much.
the Series ! box was weird,no GJ but it did have two Exclusives,a Star and a Rookie.
not bad,would rather have a YG exclusive than a gj any day,
the RC's were meh,the best was Crouse.
so onto the only two redemptions i recieved over the last year.still have 5 UD auto redemptions in que(Subban,Larkin,Hayes,Tarasenko x2).but i was happy to receive these two over the summer as i'm working on the '15 Showcase set;
i don't want to get into my Panini redemptions(but here goes),what a horror show!i have 10 outstanding that i have sent multiple replacement requests for and have basically been blown off by this Maribel Pineda for 6 months.i've been nothing but affable,and haven't received a return email or replacement in that time.actually liked the Panini product,but man i don't think i'll be purchasing any of the older stock any time soon.:foottap:

back to some breaks i made before i went cold turkey.the only product i got into heavily from '16 was OPC Chrome.here are some highlights:
