Hi everyone,
Its been a very long while since I've done a Show & Tell. Over the past year, the universe made a decision for me to head into the memorabilia side of things. Now i've always had an eye for it as my father went heavy into baseball memorabilia throughout my childhood and young adulthood. But as far as venturing into hockey memorabilia on my own, its not something I've ever done with heavy intent.
So last year I made a friend here on HI who had the best Zetterberg collection ever. Through him I was fortunate to land all the Zetterberg rookie year one of ones. But one item of his that stood out also, was his Zetterberg 2003-04 Be a Player Memorabilia Brush with Greatness Draw Prize Full Size Jersey. Back in the day, if you happened to pull the Draw card from the product, you could enter the draw for a chance to win a Full Size jersey with Artwork done by Mike James.
I was fortunate to do a deal with this Zetterberg below and received it January of this year.
Now lets actually rewind to September-ish of 2023. The Nash was listed on eBay, but I unfortunately lost the listing. After some time had passed, I managed to find the buyer of that Nash jersey, but since money doesn't grow on trees, I didn't bother to make an offer of any kind. So now last week, as my birthday had recently passed, along with some momentum I had in other jerseys I purchased, I told myself "screw it" and reached out to make an offer last Monday morning. We agreed on a deal and that jersey was shipped the same day, and received it that same week. The jersey has now come full circle and has found its forever home with me.
If some of you recognize me over the years be it on the Forums, facebook or Instagram, you might remember that I have an affinity with the early 2000's and collect players like Zetterberg, Nash and Spezza. Alot of my collections among those three players, parallel one another in a lot of ways. So when I bought the Zetterberg & Nash jerseys, I've had a deep desire to find the Spezza. Now here's the thing, call me crazy, but I swear someone made a post in the early 2010's of having owned the Spezza Jersey redemption, and as a heavy archiver back in those days, i still kick myself for not having archived that thread. I've tried to find it over the years, but haven't been successful in finding the original post. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the Spezza, I'd really appreciate it.
In general, in now having two of the 25 jerseys released, I have delusional dreams of trying to track down as many as I can. But the reality of a budget is what may stop that from happening lol. If anyone here has any other of the 25, feel free to use this thread of mine to show yours off =).

***Fun Note: The jerseys didn't automatically come with a signed 1/1 card, I was just fortunate that the OG Zetterberg owner, practically owned every significant card of his throughout most of Zetterberg's career. As you will see, I don't have the Nash 1/1 signed card. That card is still lurking out there somewhere***

Now here's some bonus pieces. The ride of momentum I was riding when it came to Nash, originated from these two Spezza jerseys I obtained. The White jersey is game worn and is from the 2004-05 AHL All Star game. Whereas the Red Jersey is also game worn, but from the 2003-04 AHL All-Star Game. These two jerseys came from an absolutely MINDBLOWING Spezza collection, which matters to me as well. I love adding things to my collection from others who are just as passionate about a player collection as I am.
Over the years, I'd love to find more pre-NHL game worn memorabilia of my favorite players such as Zetterberg, Spezza, Nash & Datsyuk (if price permits). But for right now this is my humble beginning in this side of the hobby.
