I was just looking through the Be A Player checklists at upperdeck.com and I noticed that there isn't a single NYR auto in the entire set! What happened??

LOL. He's no steal at $6.5 million. He'll be getting booed by Christmas! He forgets about the "defense" part in "defenseman" most of the time. Plus he's as soft as the Pillsbury dough boy
As for the no Ranger autos, I have no clue. I don't think there are Oilers autos either

If I remember correctly, the BAP sets are facilitated by the NHLPA. So for whatever reason, the PA was unable/unwilling to get Rangers (and perhaps Oilers) autographs for this set. *shrugs*
The PA thing could have changed, but I'm almost positive the PA is the one who used to be in charge of this set, both for ITG and UD.

That's probably DiPietro's fault. If he doesn't have a recent autograph in anything, my guess is he either refuses to agree to contracts to sign cards or has such a reputation as a late signer/signer who loses things that they don't go back to him anymore.

not sure about the rest of the Rangers but i believe Lundqvist's contract with UD was up. This is supposedly the same reason i'm hearing with why guys like Lundqvist, Richards, and Phaneuf all don't have autos from UD Ultimate and Cup too.

It has nothing to do UD directly. The PA is responsible for obtaining the autos for this set, since it's their baby. That's why you'll see Sakic and other non-UD signers in the set. The PA "encourages" the membership to participate in this set, since this product is basically a fundraiser for their initiatives, whatever they may be.
