Ben's Question of the Week

I do. To me, it minimizes humidity exposure; reduces light exposure (slightly); and ensures if the card slides out of the sleeve/loader, it won't go far. Also keeps the loader or one touch from handling scratches.

Completely agree with BB. With the cost of one-touches, why wouldn't you spend a nickel and keep them from getting all scratched up. And I will admit as a store owner, if you bring your cards in protected that way, I am inclined to lean towards giving you a bit more because I think you are pretty meticulous in your protection of your cards.

I put my one touches back in the original bag usually and store them that way. I have way too many cards in toploaders to put in team bags.

To me, team bags also prevent that edge that is exposted near the opening of the team loader from "browning" due to light or moisture exposure. Look at the top opening of a long row of loaders with no bags. You'll often see a few cards with "browning" to that exopsed edge.

SP Game Used or Ice?

I’m debating over getting a case of Ice or SPGU. Thoughts and recommendations?

What do you want? Ice is a risky break, but can yield huge return. I think SPGU is better overall value. Do you like rookies or memorabilia? Are hard signed autographs your thing? Lots of variables.

I would go with ICE. The designs are much better and you get hard signed autographs vs the stickers in SP Game Used.

I’m thinking memorabilia since this is a weak rookie class. Am I wrong?

Perfect opportunity to introduce you to a Canadian company that has solved this problem...I use their PSA ang BGS sleeves and they also sent me free samples of their top loader and mag sleeves. All are amazing.

Thanks for the link, will definitely try this place out. Its annoying when I put my PSA graded cards in Ultra Pro Graded team bags...there's so much extra room.

favorite products?

I know this is probably already been discussed but I am just trying to figure out among the members here what their favorite product is. What do you make sure you buy every year? I am looking to buy but there are so many products out there that it is very hard to choose. I usually always buy UD Series 1 and 2 and I get SP Authentic too. Besides those, what should I try?
