Verified Trader,
I finally got around to taking pictures of some of my Bergeron game-used equipment. Sorry for the long read but I had to share the stories that go along with them.
I was born in Massachusetts but moved to Tennessee 10 years ago for my job as a pathologist. I was really happy when DirecTV added NESN a few years ago and I can now watch all the Bruins games. When I heard that the Winter Classic was going to be in Boston, I convinced my wife that New Years would be a great time to visit family (after bringing my 2 sons to the game of course!) It was an incredible atmosphere, the weather held out and we had a great time. Here are a few pics.
Me and my 2 boys
view from our seats (3rd base line - Bruins shoot twice)
Final Score!
As I am sure you can tell, I am a huge Patrice Bergeron fan. He has probably been the best Bruin this year and I decided to go after some of his game-used equipment that was being offered from the game. Meigray offered the 2nd period jerseys as a pre-sell. They also auctioned the rest of the equipment. I probably paid too much but I figure it was a once in a lifetime event. Here is what I acquired:
2nd period Jersey
jersey back
Meigray tag
stick mark
tear
helmet, stick, gloves
helmet with number & WC logo
glove with name
stick with name
I got the game-used jersey bug a few years ago and have acquired almost 20 Bruins jerseys since then. I want to show off one more recent one(Bergeron of course). Atlanta is only 2 hours away from where I live and I try to go to the 2 games the Bruins play there every year. I splurged on glass seats when I brought my youngest son in November. Patrice scored the winning goal in the shootout right in front of us. I ordered the set 1 white jersey from Meigray that he wore in the game. I added the photomatch option and asked that they try to get it from the Atlanta game. They deilvered! Here are some pics of the jersey in a nice case along with the photomatch, the official line-up card from NHL auctions and some screen caps from the TV broadcast that show Bergeron scoring the goal with my son and I in the front row (hard to tell but take my word for it).
