Best and Safest Way To Ship an Expensive Card?

Hi everyone, dont post often but i need some much needed advice. Im about to sell a card in the $2000 range on ebay but have some concerns. Whats the best way to ship a card that expensive from canada to the us. The buyer has around 100 feedback all 100%, but im still picturing a horror story about never recieiving the card. Whats the best way to ship it to cover myself.

If it was me I would definitely opt for max insurance and signature required

The first option that would come to mind would be to ship via ExpressPost (which always has tracking) and pay the extra amount to have them sign for it when they get it. You should also definitely add enough insurance to cover the full value of the card. I guess he could still attempt a scam, but with tracking and signature, as well as covering yourself with insurance I think you're covering all your bases. If it gets to the address he provides and it is signed for, the assumption would be that he or someone in his household signed for it.

You could also try a similar plan through either FedEx or UPS.

You can't use ExpressPost for something like this. You won't be covered if something happens.

Expresspost parcel should work if you're sending by Canada Post, if it's the prepaid envelopes - you're probably SOL since they're supposed to be for documents.

Yes, thanks for the clarification. I was working under the assumption that the seller ships in the Envelope, which as you stated is for documents only.

ExpressPost, in a box, bubble wrapped like it was a puppy, full value insurance, tracking, signature required. Spend the extra money, your buyer certainly did.

FedEx, man. Peace of mind and tracking by the foot. Any card I have sold that was that high end has gone by FedEx and I usually negotiate to have the buyer pay half as it can be pricey. On more than one occasion, the buyer has wanted overnight and has covered the cost. I don't trust Canada Post and the USPS to begin with, so for something that you can't replace or would hurt to lose, go FedEx.
