I am looking to buy a case soon. Lets say pricing is the same for all 3, would you buy 21/22 S1, S2, Or Extended?

Extended seems to have some cool inserts from other sets.

Is 2022-23 UD S1 an option? It comes out on Nov 10th. I think. 2021-22 S2 is nice.

A lot of damaged YGs amd base cards in UD1, that's sad because there are some solid names, Caufield, Zegras, ...

I haven't opened UD2 yet, I heard that the condition of the cards is much better. Some great names too.

Extended, the rookies are weaker, but some cool cards.

I have a sealed UD2 retail box on my shelf, I got a decent deal on it, it will be fun. I opened 2 hobby and 1 retail UD1, no Caufield and 2 not mint Zegras. I decided to skip Extended.

I think 2021-22 S2 has one of the deepest YG checklists in a long, long time. No top tier superstar like a Matthews or McDavid, but there are plenty of guys who should have lengthy, successful careers. Out of those three, I don't think there's any question that S2 is the best choice for a long term hold.

Series Two is the easy answer. Best YG checklist and has way better condition issues compared to Series One. Extended is a far and away third place.

Now if you can wait another month I’d buy 2023-23 Series One. Matt Boldy, Jack Quinn, Jordan Harris, Kent Johnson, Matty Berniers, Braden Schneider, Owen Power, Lukas Reichel, Marco Rossi make for a solid group of rookies. If you want to get max value on cards always open your cards the first day or two after release and get them listed online ASAP.
