So given there is so much animosity, negativity on the boards as of late, I'd like to see a post for the best pull at a card show to inspire some positive vibes. Please post an image.
Those who feel like trolling.. I got some nice bootz all shined up and ready to go.

Post away. Expo in Toronto is less than 8 weeks away!

Cheers yo.

Nice thread topic Ameet. Way to encourage some positivity around here!

I remember when ITG 1972 came out and I bought three boxes so I could get a bunch of ITG show cards. I was opening them at the ITG table and I pulled the only cut signature I've ever pulled, not a big name but it was cool as so many people saw me open the box.

My best,

Ken

I still remember the in 2003 Fall expo, I pulled the Bobby Orr buyback auto 4/5 from a box of UD series 1, I still remember the crowd went to a frenzy, I think Ryan and couple of other guys were there as well

and i got a Howe auto as my Priority Signings

I pulled this Gold 1/1 from Superlative at the ITG booth at 2010 Fall Expo (I think). One of my biggest pulls ever! The card now resides in ravman's collection.

That is a gorgeous signature!

The Spring 2004 Expo was the first show I had attended in Canada (I had been to two National shows in Anaheim and in Chicago), but the Expo is far superior for hockey. I spent a lot of time at the (then) Be A Player booth.

Needless to say, I was extremely excited and, in addition to Gretzky cards, was really interested in the Pankhurst Original Six sets. My interest in Terry Sawchuk was just beginning, but I did not have anything of his yet.

In one of my boxes, I pulled this:

This card started my interest in collecting Sawchuk cards, and I vividly recall my excitement when I pulled it. Regarding the Sawchuk collection, when my semester ends, I plan on sharing numerous cards that I have never shown before, as well as another collection that may not be well known.

This is a great idea for a thread and I am excited to see other people's pulls.

Mine was likely a Series 1 box at the Fall Expo.
Pulled a Toews Day with the Cup and MacKinnon YG Canvas in the same box.

That was fun.

05/06 Beehive, 2 boxes that I bought on the cheap in during one of the 2006 expo's yielded a Gordie Howe jumbo auto and a Gordie Howe regular auto, both SP's.

Another good one, Franchises Canadien at the Woodstock card show, Red Horner SSP Auto and a Gump worsley auto-jersey.

I wish I had made it out to more Expo's over the years but just hasn't happened. So I haven't opened a lot of product at the ones I was at either. So instead I will show the trade I was able to make with Gomez:

I was going to post a pic, but then I realized... I don't recall ever actually opening a box at a card show. Bought boxes/cases at them, but never actually opened the boxes there.

Cool topic nonetheless. Trust Ameet 'Ray of Sunshine' to come up with it... :D

No pic cause I accidentally deleted the GONE folder in photobucket, but I know someone on here has it j st cant remember who?
BTP Brodeur Gold glove save with 1/2 and auto on it. I was in total shock and aww when it came out. If you have please post a pic :whatthehell:

I have had plenty of great hits at shows but the one that I will always remember was the best collection addition from a Toronto Expo a couple of years back, an ITG Guy Lafleur Stick Rack 1/1

At one of the Toronto Expos, I pulled an ITG Ultimate "Lumbergraphs" Frank Selke Auto 1/1 (my first Lumbergraphs)...and a Daniel Alfredsson Tag Auto 1/1 card ...in consecutive boxes.

Do not have either of them today however.

I'm going to mention 2 pulls, one done by me at a Calgary card show, and the other is a card that was pulled for me in a UM10 box at the expo. I bought a couple of boxes from Bruce (meatmancgy), and since expo always falls during report card season I've never been able to go. Jeremy agreed to open the boxes at the expo for me. (Then he wouldn't tell me what the card was until he got back to town  ;)) It was a Tim Horton cut auto 1/1, and it allowed me to do some trading to finish off my Decades set from UM10. Sorry, no picture available.

Best card I have personally pulled has to be this one.:dance::dance:

I, too, have never opened anything at a show. Truth be told, I think I've only been to 3 shows in my entire life, the last way back in '98 or '99. It's not a big thing in Maine.

My most memorable purchase was in the pre eBay days where you couldn't just get any card you want at any time. When I was little, I passed on a '73-74 Topps Orr because it was just 1 card for $5, whereas I could get 9 hockey cards plus two unopened packs of baseball cards for $5! (I was a stupid kid... ;) ) I was glad to make up for the error years later at a show...though it cost me more than $5.
