BGS 9.5 True Gem Young Gun Collection

As someone that has OCD issues with raw cards, especially when it comes to online card buying, i have enjoyed collecting slabs going on the better part of 10 years now.

This current NHL Focus of mine is Young Guns in BGS 9.5 True Gems, meaning no subs less than 9.5

Its not as easy as one might think, but it adds to the challenge of finding them, and paying the price that i dont mind paying. After all, most of the fun in this hobby is the hunt!

As someone that was ripping UD Hockey back when they started, this card design caught my eye!

That's a beauty Skinner. I love the retro look of that card as well. The design of the early 90's OPC, OPC Premier and Upperdeck were the bomb!

Not to rain on the parade, but neither of those are really considered YG RCs, are they?

Regardless, they are even nicer than the YG counterparts!!!

There is something very powerful about that little 9.5, that's for sure!

Very fair point Spooner, and technically you are correct. That being said, they are Young Guns, just variations of them.

i know all too well how finicky NHL Collectors are when it comes to parallels and "RCs".

i have "regular" YGs on the way, stay tuned.

I'm right with you, man. A Gem Mint should be all 9.5s, just like a Pristine should be all 10s.

Yes, but the pricing was too good to pass on. if in time, it irks me enough, i will move them to PSA 10 holders

LOL, I feel the same way. I just got a bunch of BGS stuff graded and was thinking of crossing some of the BGS 9 - 9.5 to PSA. haha
