Recovering from my latest round of "quincyitis", I finally got some motivation to post some recent acquisitions. Leaving the best to last.

#8: 15-16 The Cup Emblems of Endorsement Teemu SELANNE (GU All-Star w/Anaheim Jersey #8/15)

#7: 14-15 The Cup NHL Glory Teemu SELANNE AU #10/10 (still love the thickness and feel of these cards)

#6: 16-17 The Cup NHL Glory Patrick LAINE AU #/10 (my first rookie year Laine)

#5 09-10 The Cup John TAVARES AU 3clr #/91 Gold RC (thanks Quincy for the easy deal!)

#4 08-09 The Cup Foundations AU 3clr #/5 (my first rookie year Stamkos; really like these cards with low print run, auto, patch and from The Cup)

Now for the Top 3,... I rarely say this with conviction, but these 3 permanent PC material.

#3. The Cup Alexander OVECHKIN AU 3clr #/99 RC BGS 9.5 (I've been looking for a 3clr patch with more textures and seems than traditional 3clr vertical patches for a long while. Managed to find this awesome example. LONG time searching for this one.)

Now for a couple of PC shield cards I never expected to own:

#T1: 06-07 Ultimate Collection Evgeni MALKIN Auto Rookie Shield #1/1 (I owned this card for about 24hrs 10+ years ago in a 3-way trade for a white whale. I was sad to let it go. Never thought I would have a chance to acquire it again. It went from New York to Toronto and somehow found it's way 30min away from me in Vancouver. Thanks Dave for the easy in-person transaction! This card is one of the most eye appealing modern hockey cards I've seen. Spectacular!)

&

#T1: 13-14 Ultimate Collection Nathan MACKINNON Auto Rookie Shield #1/1 (After attending the Team North America 2016 World Cup of Hockey games, I became a big fan of MacKinnon's (and Gaudreau's) performances, in addition to McD's speed. When this card first appeared, I went hard after it and was stunned to lose with my offer. However, I am still perplexed and in disbelief that I was able to acquire this card at fractions of what I initially offered. Another spectacular piece of cardboard with amazing eye appeal. Super amazed this and the Malkin are part of my PC!)

Always fun to share new acquisitions with enthusiasts in the hobby. Cheers!

Think for a moment how much adoration Malkin would get if he weren't Russian AND playing in the shadow of the best player in the NHL? (I know, here comes the McDavid crowd)

MacKinnon has always been one of the best skaters in the NHL, this year we are finally seeing all the skills that go with that speed as he has emerged as one of the NHL's elite and justified that #1 overall pick!

Stunning cards Stephen, cheers!

Beauty additions Stephen! Congrats pal and thanks for sharing!

I was looking for a little more on the Big Mac combo wordplay. But a spectacular S&T nonetheless. You hit it out of the park Stephen! I think my favorite has to the Ovy ARP BGS 9.5 - a superb card for any PC!

Great show and tell Stephen. Thanks for sharing! Glad to see that Mac shield found a good home. I was the one who bought it from the guy who pulled it in Hong Kong in 2014. I think you have the full history of that card with that bit of info.

Atta boy Stephen! I’m digging that Selanne Glory....NICE!!!!

Thanks! For some reason, I really like that card too. If there's some measure of personal satisfaction to $ ratio, this card would be easily near the top!

Thanks B! Yes, Malkin was #2 to Ovy, always in Crosby's shadow and no mention for 100 best players. His resume is amazing and have always enjoyed watching him play. My second favorite Russian since 05-06 behind Ovy. But this card is in far better condition than the Ovy 05-06 Ultimate Shield (unfortunately looks like a dog's breakfast). So, it is my favorite current Russian player card.

Beauty additions Stephen! Congrats pal and thanks for sharing!

Thanks Jeremy. Hope you're well and getting some sleep with the new addition! I'll reach out on PM.

Those Ultimate Shields are superb. Congrats on those two monsters!

Thanks! Always loved them, but getting them for my 2nd favorite Russian and 2nd favorite Canadian players just felt surreal. Appreciate it!

Beauties, Stephen! :loseit:

Congrats!!!

Thanks Curt!

Stephen, your posts are always eye opening and mind blowingly awesome! Congrats on those PC monsters!!

Thanks P! I'm still waiting for the day that you or I figure out where the Kovalchuk 05-06 Property is hiding... LOL

I'm not good with words, but I'm worse with my focus on this hobby. I tried to keep it to Cup only, but these Ultimate RC Shield #1/1s really do it for me. No worries on fake patches and I personally don't care for grading. I was not about to bust my Crosby #/99 out of its BGS slab, so this is a good match!

instead of echoing everybody I'm gonna scream bloody murder on those Selannes!

I'm lucky Selanne didn't have auto/memorbilia/ low #'d cards in modern cards! I'd really go insane. He's my all time favorite player and it's been tough trying to figure out how he fits in with my PC. But I was so happy when he started signing for UD and having Cup cards.

Ah,... thanks for filling in the blanks for me. Mac and Tavares hung out for a while. That Tavares will never move. I offered a lot for the Mac, but was immediately dismissed. Owner didn't care to sell at the time. I wasn't notified it was listed, but happen to be surfing at the right time. And it ended just before he went on a points streak. Now it's never moving! :bliss:

PS - thank you for everyone's views and comments. Happy to share with the boards! Cheers, Stephen.
