Finally an update, on the UD facebook page they started a new discussion and posted this:
"We became aware of a factory issue with our 2008-09 NHL Be-A-Player release where codes on draft print redemption cards were printed incorrectly. Unfortunately, this caused the wrong cards to go out to some of our collectors. To make the situation right for collectors, we’re creating a new version of these cards featuring a jersey swatch for the top players featured in the set including Logan Couture, James van Riemsdyk, Matt Duchene, Jamie Benn, Colin Wilson, Jonas Gustavsson, Evander Kane, John Tavares and Victor Hedman. Fifty-one of the 60 cards will have this jersey parallel and the other nine will include a unique foil shift. These cards will be designed, produced and shipped to the proper collectors in the coming months. Additionally, we have corrected the error so the group of collectors who haven’t received their cards, can expect to receive the right one soon. This is the first time we’ve encountered an error like this and we’ve now put steps in place to reduce the likelihood of it happening again in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we are excited to get these enhanced cards to collectors soon."
I'm still choked about the whole thing, I will have to see what they look like but it's still a horrible mistake.
