Bishop to the Kings?

Kings get Ben Bishop and 7th pick and TB Lightning would receive Erik Cernak, Budaj and 5th pick.
TB retains 20% of Bishop's salary and both picks are this year (2017).

That's what I saw on A.wards twitter. Think they could have got more unless Bishop had a no trade and wouldn't go anywhere else?

This will make for a good goalie tandem, though. But I think they would have been fine with Budaj now with Quick back.

Tampa made the best deal possible. They were losing Bishop either way. Playoffs looks very slim so I see it as a smart move. I feel they will make a few more moves as well.

Didn't see that coming. The goalie market is super cheap then. MA Fleury and Ryan Miller could be had for super cheap. Why not go in the playoffs with two #1's? See who gets hot.

Budaj had a really good season with the Kings, and he was a very big reason for them having any success this year. Kinda sucks to see him get the boot like that as soon as Quick returns. The guy just can't catch a break anywhere he goes...

Budaj was good the first half of the season but looked horrible many Times as well. I bet anything now that since Quick is back we will see more goals from the Kings.

Maybe they were going for an Osgood / Hasek type tandem? Stanley Cup?

IF LA even makes the playoffs......they have a great tandem, but its not like Budaj was hurting them in any way. Their big issue was they couldn't score. I guess their hope is to win games 1-0 or 2-1 for the remainder of the year
