Just curious as to what you guys think about the two recent trades and looming deals before the deadline. I personally think they got ok deals for Weight and Sillinger considering they are FA's at the end of the year, but I can tell you peeps in old St. Louis are disgusted with Larry Pleau, or as we call him, Larry Bleau. He's made some horrible decisions the last few years, and I don't really think I need to back that up, look at the draft picks, that's just a starter. He already GAVE Pronger away and we just know we aren't going to get squat for Tkachuk. Granted, Tkachuk has been injured a lot this year, but seriously, look at the numbers, the guy is money when he plays. I guess I was really hoping for a deal with Philadelphia because they have some great prospects. I don't really see Boulerice and Zigomanis as team builders, and Shishkanov isn't exactly a can't miss prospect with his questionable work ethic. He just seems a bad fit for a young team that now lacks veteran leadership. They have some solid young defensemen in the system to build on, no forwards of note, and I think if Sanford could win about 8-10 more games and get another shutout or two, he should win the Vezina Trophy, lol! Maybe they are clearing cap room for next year and hoping that another good free agent class can solve things, but I have a bad feeling about this. I'm just not used to them not being good, consider the consecutive years in the playoffs, not sure how many years exactly, but a lot. Just curious as to what you guys think will happen, who else they'll move, etc. I wish they'd just sell the dang team so we could move forward. I hear they can't sell because Bettman won't let them go for less than $150 mil. because of the possibility of an expansion team. No way they can even sniff that now. I know you guys probably don't think of St. Louis as a hockey town, and probably don't care, but we love our team no matter what and this is hard to swallow. Just wanted to vent, thanks for any opinions.
