Box 2016 Lumber Kings and help with an auto

Tried a box today and here are the results, The Shore has what I believe to be an auto, or maybe the stick maker. Anyone know who it may be, Thanks in advance

The hits were

Curtis Joseph Auto Dual Stick #15
Kevin Stevens 1/1 Stick
8 Way Peguins #15
Eddie Shore #9

Looks like Bill "Flash" Hollett, I found this example of his auto too that matches up:

Hollett and Shore played at the same time from Boston from 1935- 1940 so should narrow down what era that stick is from.

Cool to own, I guess a guy like Hollet who posted 313 points in 550 + games does not warrant his own lumbergraph.

That would have made a sweet lumbergraph card, not sure what the logic was using it this way? Darn, missed opportunity.
But a sweet card none the less.

It's common for teams to sign a game used stick back then which is probably why you have Flash on a Shore GU stick piece. Leaf wouldn't use it as a Flash card since it's not a Flash GU stick. That's a very cool and unique card, congrats!

I have a similar one....a Bob Pulford stick card. When inverted, you can make out the signed "Pulford" on left edge. But more interesting is the other auto on the stick...the full "George Armtrong", who played with Pulford for many years on the Leafs. I've checked Armstrong autos and the ending "G" is very unique and matches this stick auto. And both are Hall of Famers!

So part of a Pulford auto and all of his teammate George Armstrong's auto on a Pulford game-used stick. Pretty cool! :beer:

I get what you're saying, and still think it is silly. Is it a Lumber Graph, or is it a Game Used Stick? If you are going to use that piece of the stick, it should be a Flash Hollett card. In my opinion.

btw if you plan on doing anything with that stick piece, contact steveottfan. Flash Hollett is actually on his autograph wantlist. That would be a pretty unique one for his collection I'm sure.

That's the 1st Manon Rheaume GU card before! Awesome that it is part of her goalie stick!
Esp since she only appeared in an exhibition game of Tampa Bay vs the Blues.

I hear what you guys are saying and I battled with this myself. Silly isn't how I would describe the card however. The stick came from a very expensive to obtain Eddie Shore stick that was team signed. If I cut off the signatures to make a lumbergraphs type insert it would have greatly lessened the amount of stick pieces for the Eddie Shore insert. I thought this way kind of keeps faithful to his stick. It is a Flash Hollet signature on an Eddie Shore game used stick. As it was meant to be. Just my thought fellas

I have learned that no matter what one does in this hobby, you can't make everyone happy. I take all input and try to make the best decisions possible. This product has had amazingly positive feedback. A good amount of the changes I made were lessons learned from a few missteps on Stick Work and feedback from some of you guys!
