I'll preface by saying I NEVER break the higher end products - if something gets much above $100 for a box, I'm out. However, somehow talked myself into breaking a box based on the "nostalgia" of the product - what a huge mistake. For $220 (OK - $200 as they gave me a $20 discount for buying both the EX and Allure boxes) I expected so much more - yes, I should have done my homework before buying it so ultimately that's on me.
First off, probably half of the base cards (and a couple of the rookies) had dinged corners and/or chipped edges. With it only being two cards in a pack I think the packaging is just too flimsy and there's no support to prevent that from happening. Here's a list of the base and rookies (not scanned):
BASE - Aho (edge dmg), B. Tkachuk (edge dmg/ding corner), Rantanen (ding), Svechnikov, Giroux, Suzuki, Ehlers (ding), Kaprizov (ding), P. Kane (ding), B. Nelson, Zegras (ding), Letang, Marchessault (ding), Vasilevskiy, J. Hughes, MacKinnon (ding), Matthews, Oettinger, Konecny (ding), S. Jones (destroyed corner), Josi (ding), Wright, Eberle (ding), Makar
ROOKIES - Cooley, Zary (edge dmg), Benson, McGing, Sourdif, Knies (edge dmg), Coronato, R. Evans (edge dmg/ding), Greig, Poitras, Faber (edge dmg), Kartye
Next up are the inserts which, frankly for a product this expensive to have seven very flimsy, unattractive inserts out of the 10 total in the box is not what I would have expected - I'm talking $1 inserts in a $200 product. Here's what I pulled (again, not scanned):
Star Date 3000: Stutzle, J. Robertson, J. Walman(??), Pastrnak
Index Movers: W. Johnston, Perfetti, D. Joshua
That leaves me with 3 inserts and 2 parallels that I would guess they consider the "better" cards (scan below):
PARALLELS
Quinn Hughes All-Access Credentials (not numbered)
Matthew Barzal Credentials (#282/499)
INSERTS
Devon Levi Net Assets
Anze Kopitar Hall or Nothing
Jaroslav Svejkovsky Star Date 3000 Parallel (#54/99)
OK, now on to the Allure, which I actually think is a much better break and significantly more value for the cost (only $120 on this one). I didn't pull anything earthshattering, but it was a fun break, the cards are nice looking (and there was no damage).
First off, here's a list of Rookies and lower level inserts (not scanned):
RCs: Stankoven, Klapka, Brisson, Chibrikov, Doan, D. Cooley, A. Thomas
Black Rainbow Parallels: J. Doan RC, Draisaitl, T. Moore, Konecny
Red Rainbow Parallels: Lundell, M. Villalta RC
Colorful Futures: Zegras
Colorful Futures Orange: J. Hughes
Colorful Futures Purple: Z. Benson
Color Flow Red-Orange: T. Terry, M. Barzal
Color Flow Orange-Yellow: Dahlin
Color Flow Green-Blue: Fantilli
Across the Pond: Heiskanen
Across the Pond Orange: Draisaitl
Protectors of the Ice Blue: Shesterkin
Protectors of the Ice Green: Swayman
Protectors of the Ice Orange: Oettinger
Now for a few scans:
First off, you can't go wrong with a couple Ovi's:

Color Flow Yellow-Green Alex Ovechkin
Orange Slice Alex Ovechkin
Next up a couple Hutson RCs:

Lane Hutson RC
Lane Hutson Black Rainbow RC
And last up, a couple numbered cards and a Doubloon insert:

Gold Glitter Bomb Andrei Svechnikov (#186/199)
Color Flow Red-Orange Spectrum Mitch Marner (#102/150)
Doubloons Mason McTavish
Thanks for the look - have fun with your breaks (and stay away from EX).
