Verified Trader,
Summer,what can you say.seems like the hours are condensed to minutes and there's never enough time to do what you want to do.it's infamously my slowest hobby purchasing period so i waited till some stuff piled up to post.here goes.
first a couple of box breaks.wanted two boxes of BTP,but alas only one left at the hobby shop.had to choose between Contenders or a pack from a fresh cracked case of Ultimate.chose the Ultimate as i was curious what it would look like this year.
but first a good box of BTP;
Gold #/10
like i said a good box,gold anything seem to fall 1 per 10 box case this year.getting Roy on the common Aspire helps and Villemure was a nice pc hit.
onto the Ultimate.can't say i'm crazy about the design this go round.too many rectangles and squares for my liking.reminds me of my 10th grade Geometry text book cover.that said it was a decent break.

anytime you hit a #/99 RC is good,hitting LeBlanc is very good considering this years checklist.
i have never been a part of any group breaks online before they were introduced here on HI.can't say i was too interested either,but when i started paying attention to the cost versus yield factor i became intrigued.i love to rip wax,and i'll probably never stop,but the group break has the great thrill of minimal cost and recieving maximum return.combined with the live online break and the entertainment provided it is now my new addiction.i've only done two,both with Maple Leaf Sports but i will definately be doing more in the near future.
first up the Sweet Sixteen break in which i picked Buffalo with the 21st pick.why?you ask,because i primarily collect ITG for my pc and when Ultimate is involved i factored in who/what could be in the product.saw Bufafalo on the board and immediately though Hasek,Miller,Perrault etc.turned out i picked a good team to get a pc card.
besides a couple of Vanek base cards that was my only hit from the break,and i was content.but lo and behold i recieved in my package with the Hasek these FREE cards from the great guys at Maple Leaf Sports.
:beer:
huge THANKS to MLS !thanks guys you didn't have to,and i'm very appreciative for the cards and will always give you guys first look when that group break itch strikes!
as for my first group break,it was again with MLS.i missed it live because it was the Sunday before the 4th of July and we went to a few fireworks shows.but when i came home i watched it online.i was randomized the LA Kings in a BTP 10 box break.i thought Vachon,Quick,Potvin etc.ws hoping to at least get an auto or jersey.never thought i would get such a sweet card and possibly the hit of the entire break.
:goal::dance:
and so my group break addiction was born.
oh,one more card i acquired in a trade.got this over on scf for a YG Seguin.gladly trade current yg's for such sweet swatches of my generation of guys.love this one:
:whatthehell:
thanks for the look and read,cheers!
