Early last week, I received a tweet saying that I was awarded an Upper Deck Random Act of Kindness (#UDRAK) Yesterday, the box was dropped off at my house.

Upper Deck stuffed an Upper Deck cap, a pouch and box cutter, along with 5 boxes: Showcase, AHL, ICE, UDS2 & OPC Platinum.
I also received 6 random Dallas Stars cards for the PC:

Highlights from the ICE box. More Stars PC, even if they are doubles!
Highlights from the OPC Platinum box. Very nice Gretzky insert! Kesler Blue ice is #17/65...jersey numbered.
Highlights from the Showcase box. Another nice Gretzky /50 insert! That Buracuda is straight filthy! Clendening is #6/299...also jersey numbered.
And I separated this guy as I noticed in every box I was opening, he seemed to be lurking. If he's going to be the one to follow me around this year, it's not a bad one to have follow me.
Curtis Lazar...with the PoE Canvas from the aforementioned box of UDS2. The Black Retro Platinum is 99/100.
So there we have it! It was an amazing feeling to have been a part of this UD program. I could not be more humbled & honored to have been selected. Truly a surprise & I am glad to have shared this with everyone.
I will be paying it forward with some of these items...the cap and pouch I will be using as an end-of-year reward in my classroom to one of my lucky students. I have a certain group of Twitter followers and HI/C&C friends that I'd like to send a few freebies to. Other than that, the majority of these will all be available for trade.
I'd rather not sell, as I never feel it's right making money off of free stuff that someone (or a company) has given me.
I have loads of inserts from OPC Platinum, UDS2 and Showcase, so if anyone is looking for set material or just PC stuff, please let me know. Thank you.
