Bad move in my opinion. Knee jerk reaction by a new CEO and a green president. I can't even believe some of the names I'm hearing. I'll renounce hockey is Mike Milbury or Peirre MacGuire are hired.

Daryl Katz: You now have the opportunity to replace the clowns running your team with someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Seems that these 2 names are brought up every time there is a GM vacancy.

All Islander fans hope Milbury is given a second opportunity to run a team. Look what he did for the Islanders....

Pretty shocking. 2011 Cup, 2013 Finals, 2014 President's Trophy. What's a guy gotta do to keep his job? Yes, they have cap issues, but so does every other recent Cup winner (LA, Chicago, Pittsburgh). And yeah, he screwed up the Seguin trade, but he got Seguin by robbing the Leafs and they still have Hamilton. I understand there may have been a disagreement on how to go forward, but if he's had this kind of track record wouldn't you cut him some slack?

After the Oilers named Bob Nicholson as their new CEO, he has made contact with Chiarelli. Rumor has it he could become their President of Hockey Operations(which is currently held my Lowe).

For Edmonton fans, I hope this is true.

And then get rid of Mac T and the scouts.
