The winners of the bud poles last year and past champions of the Bud Shootout will race this Saturday night in the Bud Shootout in Daytona.

Yup, I've even been to a race.

Back in 96.
Pocono, good fun.

Used to watch it back on the old TNN hah.

I haven't followed it as closely the last couple years, it's gotten so insanely popular.

But I still make it a point to watch the 500, the shootout, and as many night races as I can catch.

oh, and talladega, that's a mandatory watch.
 
Gotta watch all the restrictor plate races. I don't think I have missed a race on the TV in 5 years but never been to one before. That is my goal for this year.--jch

I've always been a Gordon fan.
He won the race I was at which was sweet, it's always funny, at the race when they introduce the drivers, Gordon probably got the biggest boo of anyone, and then when he won, the whole grandstand stood up and cheered.

My dad was sitting next to this real big guy who was decked out in Earnhardt gear and after a little while sitting there he leaned over and said to me "I think I'm rooting for Dale" haha.
Like the intimidator, but I'm pretty impartial, Jeff's really the only one I look for across the line, but, yeah, I'm going nowhere with this.

It was also funny when Jeff's, now ex, wife made her pit lane appearance someone sitting behind me was like 'oh, there's jeff's wife, she's nothin but a barbie doll ya know, just there to look good'
I laughed and thought to myself (in all my 14yr old goodness) 'yeah, like he cares, have you seen how hot she is?' hah.
this was before he had to give her ridiculous amounts of money in the divorce. But, I think he's doing ok with his new hot g/f.

hot or not, fritos is mandatory. ;)
 
I am hyped for the shootout tonight, qualifying on Sunday and the qualifying races on Thursday and of course the 500. Racing season is upon us. Go Gordon. The drive for 5.

Working on one for the 500. The ESPN should be ready to go. I will check it out and we all can join. Maybe the winner for each segment will get a prize.--jch
 
I missed it,
missed a lot of the coverage today,
was out driving around :|
now I'm at home, to watch some driving around :D
 
Bobby Gerhart won. Kimmel looked like he would win but the accident at the end finished the race. Just heard 11 drivers transported to the hospital at the end of the race. It was really bad. Apparently they are all okay.
