Budweiser Goal Light Commercial Via You Tube

So basically the goal light, hooks up to wifi, when your favorite team scores it will go off automatically...

Now I think that is pretty cool, especially since they aren't affiliated with the NHL however... Habs vs Kings in LA might piss off a few wives on the east coast

Also they are currently sold out and on pre-orders expecting to come in May.

The website video says installations are only available in the Greater Toronto areas which I first read as everyone else is out of luck but it is nothing to install and I guess you can just place it on a table, shelf, etc.

You can put all 30 teams in if you want and the volume can go all the way down so us East Coasters wouldn't be waking up the Missus!

You get a notice 5 minutes before game time

You can also bring it to a friend's house and set up the app/wi-fi.

Unique - yes, affordable - not so much

They can also discontinue the service anytime and you are stuck with a paper weight although their plan is to do it for this season and next as of now

Sports bars in the 7 Canadian cities would get good mileage out of it I think

Call me crazy but i'd definitely buy this and stick it in the man cave without thinking twice..
Good thing it's sold out, or else i'd have jumped on it :banned:

I just sent Bud Canada a message on Facebook asking if they'll work in the States if someone in Canada ships it to me. If so, I'll be hitting up someone in Canada for help for sure! These are too cool!

Just put in my order for ONE and maybe more with my local beer rep (OR I switch brand or get on the wagon:devil:)!!!!

I ordered one too. It will make a great addition to the mancave. I was able to order one from the US, but it still must be shipped to someone in Canada though. Ask a friend from Canada if you can ship it to their place, and work out a deal to have them ship it to you back in the States. They are due to ship May 6th just missing the Spring Expo.

Now if only it could get the lights to dim in the room at the same time the lights and horn go off.

Spectacular.

Looking forward to seeing one in person. I think these look awesome.

The guys who made these were on NHL radio yesterday and I will definitely be getting one.

To answer a few questions that have been raised above. These are not crappy little plastic lights, they are built just like those in NHL or local rinks with real glass and metal - pretty heavy, high quality pieces according to the guys on the radio.

They run on a D battery that will last for two years (apparently) and installation sounds like a piece of cake - figure out what team you want, screw it in and get ready for party.

They do work in the States (as long as you have a wifi network) but they can only be sent to a Canadian address - so some of us will have to use a Canadian donkey to get our lights sent south.
I personally don't think $150 is much at all for something as cool as this...well considering how much I spend on other crap...I am just thinking about how awesome it will be in the playoffs when the light goes off and me and all my buddies are highfiving and cheersing some brews.

I think the price is fair too! It's a must for a man cave.

Too bad the Sabres miss the playoffs more often than not lol, I would love to have it go off while I got some friends over but that may take a few years:devil:

The only way this service works properly is literally someone watching the same game LIVE and hits the goal button once he sees a goal button. If this runs automated off any kind of pre-existing hockey feed (i.e. think Fantasy hockey), you will experience a 20 second to 3 minute delay. Hence the reason why I think they put the caveat of terminating the service at any time. I think it's an awesome idea but I gotta see it in action before shelling out 150 plus tax lol.

Mine must be broken, or hooked up wrong? It has never even once went off. I have it hooked up directly to Phil Kessel, and ......... Oh wait, now I know why it hasn't lit up? :goal:

Just kidding! Would be way cool to have this working in the man cave! :whatthehell:
