Buffalo Sabres fire GM Tim Murray and Head Coach Dan Bylsma

Leafs and Oilers expediting their playoff appearances put a lot more heat on Bylsma.

Buffalo had a.... weird way of putting together their lines and a putrid defense. I like Lehner but wonder if Buffalo would take a run at another goalie this offseason as well as a couple top 4 D.

Why? Because he helped build and guide another team that entered the NHL in 1967 to the promised land when no one thought they could ever win it all?

Miracles usually only happen once, and, I mean, it's Buffalo!

On a serious note, LA had the pieces to win, Buffalo does not. Their defense is an abomination and they sure as heck don't have a top 25 NHL goalie like Jonathan Quick................

Fixed your quote ;)

You have seen it with the Bills, and now you're seeing it with the Sabres. The Pegulas are getting too involved with the operations of the sports teams. Leading to disfunction.

I really hope at TP's press conference today at 10 he announces a hiring of someone in charge of operations. I think having someone run the operations aside from ownership might do this team some good.

Terry stresses discipline and character, and says "Experience will be key" in the new search.

I'm not sure about others but that screams Dean Lombardi to me

Listening to Marek and Wyshynski they see Lombardi as a President; and then someone like Jason Botterill or Julian BriseBois to actually be GM and make the moves. They don't like the idea of having someone like Dean as GM.
