Historically the Friday night was more for the vendors to get set up and the like. On the rare occasion a vendor would realize a significant return. Alas, more often then not, it would be a bust for the vendor.

So granted the Friday gave the consumer another opportunity to spend, in the long run it wasn't worth it to the vendors coming in from outta town. Especially in Calgary where that rush hour traffic seems to last the whole night through! :eek:

So this Fall in Edmonton and the remainder of the Calgary & Vancouver Shows (not Bosnor) they'll be only the Sat/Sun.
 
When is the best time to come out. Are most vendors set up and ready to go on Friday, or is it best to wait until Saturday morning?

The vendors are set up on the Friday by 4:00pm. Or so they have been instructed to do so! ;)

As for the best time to venture a view.. I'd have to go with the Saturday at about 11:00am. Although the Friday can realize some very nice shinie's as well.

I can only make it Friday night as well. My wife and I are going in and should be there shortly after 5 (I'll leave from work at 3:45). Can't wait, cyall there

I fully agree with you. I liked the Friday part of the shows the best. Good to look around and see what you want to pick up and what is all out there. Seems like quite a few of us liked the Friday's.

Cause after October's show, a few vendors were more than displeased.... ;)

I have always loved the Fridays aswell. It's a great opportunity to scoop up the deals and you have some time to spend with the dealers and make some trades, as opposed to the Saturdays when it's too busy to bother anyone with anything short if a sale

I understand it from the full-time dealers perspective. Especially those coming in from out of town. And the fact that there will be no show on Friday (after this one) doesn't really bother me. I've been looking forward to the show for a couple months now so Friday can't come soon enough!

Just got back, really enjoyed the show. Will do a show and tell tomorrow. I picked up some beauties, pulled some sweet stuff and met some great people. It was a wonderful evening in the card world.
