Maybe some of you have had this done in the past. Though once a card has been graded will the grading company remove this upon request from the graded plastic?
Or have you taken upon your self to remove it yourself? Risking damaging the card

I remember sending a graded Jordan through mail. Case got cracked by either someone stepping on it , my guess..however the card from the buyer said it seemed to be alright.

So can a card be removed?
Thanks

Sure can.

There are a few videos on YouTube that show different methods.

I think the most popular one is to use a screwdriver/chisel and hammer, chip off the sides, and separate the case.

Good luck!

I made it a a few times, and never damage a card. It's the same pattern for all grading companies :

You need this :

You cut the top corner like this :

You cut all the top like this :

and with a flat screw driver, you can force the slab to open :

The only this left to do is to cut the internal sleeve, if it's a BGS. I usually take scissors.

That pretty much is the best way, I've done it like this twice.

did that 3-4 times now, easiest and safest way.

/e nods his approval to the method above

Scary as hell the first time. Once you do it though it really is simple

I've removed 20 cards using the exact same tool. Stupid BGS 9.0! It requires patience to make the case open bit by bit in the direction you want without the plastic suddenly cracking towards the card. Luckily the card is in a fairly tough sleeve.

Afterwards, my hand hurts for a little while.
