Canada Post Autographed Stamps

Hi. Just had a question regarding these autographed stamps. So the odds of getting an auto'd stamp is 1-40 packs (pack are about $11 CDN). From what I gauge each auto has the same odds/rarity. The question is is how many of these were signed for each player, i.e. Yzerman or Esposito, etc. Were there 500 autographed? More? Thanks for your thoughts/feedback.

I'm assuming it's 100,000 packs produced, therefor 100,000 packs / 40 = 2,500 total autographs. 2,500 / 6 = 417 auto's per player. However I do not think all players are represented equally. Bernie Parent sure seemed to do the bulk of the signing in the goalie greats edition.

I don't know about the breakdown for the autographed stamps, but for the limited edition framed autographed prints:
Crosby signed 987
Sittler 727
Lafleur 710
Messier 411
P. Esposito 307
Yzerman 219

Of note, I heard the Crosby ones were all spoken for within days of the Sept. 23 release date.

I've also heard that this year's edition won't fit one-touch holders, unlike last year's. But they do fit the penny sleeve in top loader though. I guess, apparently they are a bit longer than last year's.

Yeah, this seems to be accurate. I just tested a regular non auto stamp in a one touch and it wouldn't sit properly.

But all jokes aside, the regular stamp looks exactly like the auto'd one, minus the auto, so what's stopping forgers from forging the sig.? I was thinking there should be some other distinguishing factor to the auto'd versions, i.e. numbering them or something simple like that.

There is a silver foil hologram on the autographed version.

Okay, thanks. So that is the distinguishing factor between the auto'd version and the regular. Good to know.
